Please read the enclosed invitation and sponsor letter that I received giving me the opportunity to play international baseball this December in Australia. This is a “trip of a lifetime” for me!!  This experience will benefit my future as a baseball player and as an American citizen.  These are just a few things that will happen while I’m over there:

*  Learn about the culture and the people of Australia.

*  Make new friendships.

*  Play at a high level of competition.

*  Increase my confidence as a person.

This trip will also be really special because my Dad and Grandpa are going with me.  During the trip, I will also get to home stay with two different families and become one of their family for a short time.  Since we will be there for the Christmas holiday, I will share in some of their family traditions and they will take me to see some interesting places in Australia.  I’ve never been to Australia, so I am really looking forward to that too!

You probably receive many requests for donations and I appreciate you taking the time to consider mine.  If you would like to check out the Goodwill Series web site (www.goodwillseries.org), you will see its history and the positive effect that it has had on players, coaches and families from around the world over the past 26 years.  They have provided educational opportunities and baseball competition to thousands of high school athletes.
