Maggi was born in Mexico, and immigrated to the United States with her family
at the age of 14. She missed her friends, and at first didn't like her new country.
But God placed her across the street from a Christian guy who had his church group praying for "the girl accross the
street." He shared Christ with her during the "I Found It" campain, and she began a new life in Christ. As she got involved
in the church, she met Eddie.
Eddie was born and raised in San Diego. He had come to Christ in high school through the witness of a friend. Just
two months later he attended a Youth for Christ camping trip and began to think about full-time ministry. Since 1980 he and
Maggi have served in churches - as youth pastor, pastor of outreach and missions, associate pastor and interim senior pastor.
They led countless short-term teams on ministry trips to Mexico. Maggi has also worked as a bilingual tutor.
Hearing God's call to return to Mexico is no surprise for them. They 've been open to it, even waiting for it, for many
years. In 2002, the time was right. When they were challenged with the leadership needs of the Mexico Caravan Ministries,
they knew it was the spot God had for them. They are both excited about the potenial to work with hundereds of young people
and families who come to Tijuana for a week of exposure to cross-cultural ministry. The Passmores will work with these teams,
challenging them to be world Christians, and beginning many on a path toward following God into full-time missions.
